Mind Games

Digital Collage by Itkupilli

The battle of mind is not between good and evil. It’s between your intuitive consciousness and unconscious mind. Logical reasoning tries to get a triumph over the internal knowledge.

When your actions, speeches and thoughts are in harmony with inner truth; mind is peaceful. The confusion arises from contradiction. Yours or the others action awakes disagreeable unpleasant emotion, and your reasonable mind tries to analyze the situation. Instead of listening your intuition, there is taking place a continuous dialogue in your mind, which disturbs your inner voice.

This battle is between sincere and vanity. Between truth and lie. Between love and fear. Between God and devil. It is a battle between true you and your ego.

And once more, some great quotes:

“He who rules his spirit has won a greater victory than the taking of a city.”
Jesus Christ

When you realize the nature of mind, layers of confusion peel away. You don't actually "become" a buddha, you simply cease, slowly, to be deluded. And being a buddha is not being some omnipotent spiritual superman, but becoming at last a true human being. Sogyal Rinpoche : Tibetan Buddhist writer & meditation master

If you know that everything comes from the mind, don't become attached. Once attached,
you're unaware. But once you see your own nature, the entire Canon becomes so much prose. It's thousands of sutras and shastras only amount to a clear mind. Understanding comes in midsentence. What good are doctrines? The ultimate Truth is beyond words. Doctrines are words. They're not the Way. The Way is wordless. Words are illusions. . . . Don't cling to appearances, and you'll break through all barriers. . . .

Kirsi,
I have no idea why this post seems so beautiful.

Kirsi,
Again a thought-proving post combined with a collage, quotations and music which add to the abstract ideas in your mind. You have such a gentle disposition.

The Battle of mind? Only the shadow knows.
To try to analyze other people causes confusion. I do think to trust one's intuition is the best. I try to surround myself with people who bring peace to my soul and to avoid those who vex.

When a harsh word comes to my tongue for those I love, I have learned to wash that harsh thought away and replace it with understanding. The more this is done, the more natural that it becomes.

Peace of mind feels so good.

Zen poem:
The spring flowers; the autumn moon
Summer breezes, winter snow.
If useless things do not clutter your mind,
You have the best days of your life.

Cosmic clown, sometimes it’s difficult to tell the truth, but it’s easier to tell about the truth. :)

Piktor,
Truth is beautiful. It doesn’t have to hide behind the vine leaves.

And it’s liable to itself.

I wish I could only write better, boring school English is not the best sword to sway for the truth and wisdom.

Why your comment seems so beautiful? You are using gasoline, instead of cold water.

ThanKwee, thank you. I’m so delighted about your comment, once more. It’s really inspiring me to do this. And you are so right. I so agree with you. And thanks for the beautiful poem.

You do beautiful work on the collages. I love the words also.
When I meditate, I imagine that I am sitting at the edge of a tall plateau or butte looking out over a small river below and green land streatching far off into the distance. I see myself sitting there on the edge from a point a distance behind as a usual occurance. I have always wondered whether the ego is me sitting there or me watching from behind. Doesn't really matter, I guess, as I can watch thoughts flow below on the river and look beyond them for peace and serenity. Just thought you may have a thought on this question.
Thanks for visiting my blog btw.

Goatman,
Very beautiful meditative view you have. Good question and the answer is very easy. Always when you get aware of your thoughts, it’s you, observer behind. Doesn’t matter if you loose it, ‘coz at the moment you’re realizing it, you already are back. So you are...:)

your words and the energy of this blog and your sentiments are all stunning. i have experienced this ... duality of the mind ... the dialogue of logic messes with the truth of intuition. and those times - those times when the devil within has me doubting my intuition - those times = misery, indeed.

your english - its not at all boring ... writing, its sort of like staying in shape - gotta keep practising to get and stay good ...

:)

Oh Daniel, Daniel,

You amaze me. We have so much in common….started with A Architecture and ending with Z Zen. Kiss and love.

Hey Funky, you bet I try. We’ll see soon.

Mantissa, thanx. I’ll take lessons at your blog. As a matter of fact I just did.

Is it me, or is this a series of torso's sitting on the counter? I laughed out loud when I noticed the framed picture of the woman looking over at the skull. As if to say, "You don't belong here. Do you?"

A lovely piece. :D

Mick, I have so much fun of making these images…there are usually many meanings, some are there just in purpose, but always there comes at least one extra implication to amaze myself. The first idea of image has usually altered to an other while working…. :)

Thanks for the view on my question. I don't know why I have to ask such things the details shouldn't matter. The answer is as close as your answer; as we come back into realization, the viewer is behind and takes it all in. Thanks for the insight.
Your english is very good by the way.

Goatman,

Details surely don’t matter. But by asking you also showed that you must already know the answer. Your ego doesn’t want you to know such things. That means good buy for him….
This is good practice for my English; it’s very nice to have conversations like this. Thank you!
