"The Three Graces"

Digital Collage by Itkupilli

Oh here is a nice pic...my southern sisters during their first visit in Finland...they are not sure who dares to jump first to cold water...

…and well not so cold… the climate in southern Finland is similar to…let’s take a random example…similar to Wisconsin...

Although the time zone is curious…physically it is GMT +3(Eastern Europe Daylight/Summer Time), but my mind goes 8 hour behind…it causes strange symptoms, like intense heart beatings, awakenings in the middle of the night, warm waves and exciting vibrations…;))

And here is the best site if you want to know more about Finland: Your window to Finland - http://virtual.finland.fi/

The video for to day has wrong season, but it is the right choice for to day: HIM's Funeral of hearts...and here you could see also a glimpse of Finnish men

Again you've chosen a great video Finland should make you tourism minister or something :)

If you don't mind I've a couple of questions?
Another group that sings in English is that very common?
Is English accepted as a default second language there and most people speak it?

As always, a wonderful collage piece. A bit more calm and serene here it seems ... of course, we have no idea what the girls are plotting! :)

Finland is the home
of the elves and fairies...
the people of there
takes them in the soul...
and they are expressed in its art...

Alvar Aalto´s architecture is magic...
their spaces are magicians...
there they live fairies and elves...
its art cannot be copied...
its art belongs to the Gods...

the name of my son is Alvaro
in its honor.

Thank you again…and more is coming….

Finland’s two official languages are Finnish and Swedish, but in practice people speak much better English than Swedish. English is also used as a teaching language in some schools and the most of universities…

And it’s very common that Finnish bands use English. Some of them are already quite well known world wide…

Thank you…this collage is dedicated to my new American sisters…

I knew you must know Alvar Aalto,
He is one of the famous Finnish architects…

Greeting for Alvaro…from Finnish fairy…

Hyvää Päivää Kirsi!

So many wonderful things to look at, and listen to, and think about!

And yes, Wisconsin, just a random example, no doubt..

To begin with the sisters skinny dipping in some beautiful lake in Finland, yet not sure who should go in first, lol. It looks like Kirsi has been making sure that we eat well, though, while we're in Finland. I can see that. :)) Yes, we shall all return back to our southern climes looking rather... well...rubenesque.

And Kirsi, you so perfectly well describe the feelings of someone who is falling very much in love! Intense heart beatings, exciting vibrations..

I haven't listened to the video yet, but I went to the virtual.finland site and went to the art gallery. I really love the artwork of Stiina Saaristo! She had me laughing so much because of the way that she depicts stereotypical relationships, except that she turns it all around. Absolutely adore her artwork!

Well, I am going to get myself some fruit and some tea and return to enjoy more of my stay in Finland!

Brrrrr... I'm all wet and I must get a towel to dry off..

Aurinko Nainen…

Surely you eat well, in summer time we have many delicious dishes, like sauna-sausage, stove-sausage, campfire-sausage, frying-pan-sausage, sausage-soup, and sausage-just-like-that. And variable drinking like beer, sauna-beer, cold beer, too warm beer, hangover-beer, bottled beer and tap beer…

…no not towel yet…just back to sauna…176 F must be enough to warm you….

Oh Kirsi that is a very good site to visit...I found it when I was trying to find out where Finland was located...it sounds like a nice place to be~

hahahaha! yes...we all look a little plump! I think too much cheesecake and popcorn! There is definitely one person missing in this threesome...I can't help but to see jimm standing in the middle as the three discuss all the wonderful things to do to and with cheesecake.

And, anajo is right, "intense heart beatings, awakenings in the middle of the night, warm waves and exciting vibrations." You are definitely in love or you have been using your vibrator again while thinking of cheesecake and "doing" the laundry. hahahaha!

I love this video! It is very mysterious and magical. I also think the guitarist and the keyboard player quite sexy...mmmmmmm....finnish men are lovely! yummy! I like a lot. The singer...he sounds too American, not Finnish enough in his voice. And don't like the make-up...too girly for my taste.

"he was the fire, restless and wild, and you, Kirsi, were like a moth to the flame..."

That is beautiful...

here comes a kiss for you blowing on an eastern wind...smack...right on your cheek! beautiful fairy Kirsi...

So romantic...

Well, I watched the video. Ville is handsome, for sure!

AnaBan,
I've noticed that when people from non-anglophone countries sing in English, they never seem to have an accent. When I sing in French, I've been told that I have no accent... weird..

Exciting vibrations... hmmmm.. a vibrator? LOL AnaBanana, you are one naughty little witch! Dad is right about sexual maniac! LOL...

And, ya, it looks like the three of could stand to lose a little weight! lol..
think too much cheesecake and popcorn
Ya, and too many gummi bears for Kelly (whatever those are.. I must be living in a cave or something, forgive me!)

Okay, I'm gonna check out more of that Finland link.. This is fun!

Gummi bears are similar to chewy pieces of licorice, I guess? I'm not sure how to describe them.

hah ahha

Kirsi, read my last comment {on my blog}~I tried to e-mail you darling, but it didn't go thru....

*Itkupilli* said...

Oh you lovely sisters...

You are so kind… and well… naughty...very cute combination...

I remember gummy bears since my childhood…they are not so delicious anymore…:)

singinghawk said...

yeah weird about losing the accent when singing.

yes, I am naughty, I admit it...but mostly for laughs, my sisters and brother!

gummy bears....ahhh, yes, they were once my daughter's favorite food.

*Itkupilli* said...

//yeah weird about losing the accent when singing//.

I know that every Finnish singer tries to loose the accent of course…what do you think…we are always so embarrassed for some singers who can’t loose the accent…so do you think that it wouldn’t disturb if somebody has the accent? Doesn't it sound very pitiful?

Dear Kirsi,

As far as I'm concerned, an accent would be intriguing and sexy and mysterious. Not "pitiful". Everyone has an accent when speaking a foreign language. I love accents. I even like regional accents, such as the U.S. southern accent or the New York accent or the Massachusett accent. We all have accents, after all, depending upon the frame of reference.

//I love accents. I even like regional accents, //

in the midwest we have the residents of the Upper Penisula of Michigan, the UP or as we call them

YUPPERS

the speak with a regional accent that is extremely foreign...sorta like a Canadian with bad nasal congestion...and Yuppers can only sing Polka songs...the combination is deadly.

//check out more of that Finland link.. This is fun! //

you betcha! If you think a Finnish sauna is great.....try a Finnish Laundry! Talk about putting a crease in your pants! Wowsers!

Kirsi...sleep well....I must go to Wolfie's memorial.....we are going to get drunk and put some ashes in the 9th hole at the golf course.

*Itkupilli* said...

HI kirsi! I am still awake! hahaha! Good morning to you! It is almost 11:00 PM my time. Soon I will be going to bed. It is so weird. Don't be too lonely...I am thinking of you! And I am sure Jimm is dreaming of you in his sleep. I think it is 1:00 in the morning for him.

Good night!

It is really weird, I wonder how Galileo ever figured that earth is round...I don’t get it...so light here....so how come it is night there?

Well, little blonde has woke up here philosophycally.....

singinghawk said...

I think Galileo was hoping there was another world in which to dream of another. The stars shine bright on this side. My step-daughter has a friend over for a sleep over, so all is not quiet...yet.

I hope you have a good day today, Saturday, and I will be back tomorrow, when it is almost the day after for you, or is it the day before for me?! ahhhh! whatever! heehee!

Hello!!!
Well I don't know...I have lost my sense of time....but good morning to you I guess...

Anonymous said...

I am here barely awake - 7 a.m...
Not yet awake enough to tell who posted what and when.. It's all a bit confusing and yet at the same time so sweet to find everyone here. You all put a smile on my face.. so cute..

Jimm,
You must have thoughts of Wolfie going through your mind this morning. Ah, a bike ride is a great way to start the day, to refresh the spirit.

AnaBanana must still be asleep - only 6 in the morning in California.

Kelly, hmm.. I think that it's already 9 am for her..

And to think that for you Kirsi, it is 4 pm I think...

Well folks, there's the time report !

Some sweet thoughts for the charming and kind and lovable Kirsi!

Love
Aurinko Sisko
