The time has come...

Digital Collage by Itkupilli

the time has come
to break all my promises
tear apart all chains
and cast away all advice

disassemble the heavens
link by link
and break at once
all lovers' ties
with the sword of death

put cotton inside
both my ears
and close them to
all words of wisdom

crash the door and
enter the chamber
where all sweet
things are hidden

how long can i
beg and bargain
for the things of this world
while love is waiting

how long before
i can rise beyond
how i am and
what i am

from the poetry of Rumi

Ghazal 1591 Translated by Nader Khalili

Good Day, Kirsi. I love Rumi's poetry...very beautiful. The image is gorgeous...looks as if she is waiting for something to come to her. yes?

Good day Sun Shine AnaB! Thanks, indeed waiting for something. I just read Kelly’s incredible post. I’ve been in state of transition, and I’ve resisted everything…been so tired. But now I realized that it’s really transition, not the end…

I, too, love the poem and the image. Ana said it - gorgeous.
As regards the sentiment of the poem, it is so hard to go forward when the one you fall in love with doesn't feel the same - or worse, they feel that way at first, but later, not so much. You've hit the promise of the lost chord though, you're at a transisition, not the end.
Hugs, a bushel and a peck, and a kiss around the neck. :)

Hi sweet Kirsi,

You seem to be in a inward-thinking mode.

Lovely collage as usual. I like the contrast of the background warm, earth colors with the violet shadows of the voluptuous woman... She may be a bit overtaken by the events in life, but her arm is still lifted, showing her acceptance of life and yet knowing that something is on the horizon.

She's getting ready to have a glass of red wine... but only one glass! ;)

Love,
Anajo

Sensuality, awareness, courageous, open-minded...
words I came to think looking at this beautiful picture.

Mick, you are ihana, you know.

Saddest thing is, if you loose somebody, not because the lack of love, but because of fear and guilt…but sometimes a lost is the only way to find out true feelings.

Indeed, this is not the end, better say a new beginning. Thanks, kisses and hugs. <3

Anajo,

You got the right picture, but instead of wine, the drink is beer. Don’t you remember I’m going to drink one beer under your confederate flag?
Though beer is Mexican. And already second one….this year. ;)

****

Kelly,

I’ve noticed that similarity, and when I had my hair different, I looked quite similar to you. I was amazed when I saw your picture.:)

Susu,

Beautiful words. Thank you. You are quite ihana, you know. :)

Kirsi

maybe I can be a little flippant at times....but I really do care alot about people....real people.

I just read what Kelly posted on her blog ( really good stuff, Kelly-Hi) And it reminded me of a line from Edward Albee's the 'Zoo Story'

--Sometimes it’s necessary to go a long distance out of the way in order to come back a short distance correctly--

it's all about the journey and what happens and who we meet. And how much we can love.

You be good.

That you can be a little flippant at times, I think that’s a part of your charm.

And surely don’t take anything away…it’s easy to recognize your caring.

Albee’s line is very profound and beautiful. And yours lines Thanks.

ya, ya, ya......trying to butter me up by calling me charming!! ;)

Just give me a big smile......it's gotta be real big, 'cause it's a long way to Wisconsin!

Kirsi, they say everybody has a twin. LOL

Oh, and I'm glad that I could help you to identify some of what you're going through. And you're right, it's ot the end. When one door closes, another one opens!!

Yes, Kirsi, I remember the beer. ;)

This sophisticated lady lounging around just reminded me of wine..

By the way, that confederate flag.. not mine! lol.. I just thought that the song fit our little zeitgeist at the moment and that's the only video I could find.. (embarrassed face) lol..

take care sweet one..

Dear Daniel

Gracias,

I must tell you that architecture is still very close to my heart even I discarded my career…I miss those times…I’m very obsessed with houses, and sometimes I really long for sketching…I’m glad you noticed architectural detail there.

Kisses and hugs my Principe

You did it again! I'm so in love with your style. You have your own creative way to impress yourself.

I just have to come every day back to see what you have done.

Olet muuten ollut suuri innoittajani omassa kuvablogissani. Sinun kauttasi syntyi halu kokeilla myös kuvien muokkausta, vaikka olenkin perinteinen "valokuvaaja" ja ihan aloittelija muokkauksissa. Kiitos siitä!

*Itkupilli* said...

Sunny Sun, thank you and I have difficulties with English my self...I understand much better bad English..:)

Kiitos Elegia,
Ilahdutat minua todella paljon, ja tosi kiva kuulla jos olen onnistunut ispiroimaan sinua. Itse saan niin valtavasti inspiraatiota tästä blogimaailmasta. :)

morning Kirsi

//I have difficulties with English my self//
Your English is just fine. I wish I knew other languages like you and AnaJ..... ah....more later...I must get coffee.

*Itkupilli* said...

okjimm,

I don't believe you...you don’t speak other languages? Maybe it’s possible, ‘coz you speak English. I’m so obsessed to learn English better…you all use so coooool language.

Anonymous said...

//you don’t speak other languages?//

I think most Americans speak only one language. That may vary depending on where in America you live....it is something that always amazed me about Europeans---they seem to have such a good understanding of other languages--of their neighbors.

...I can converse well, though, with people from Chicago, Illinois......that is kinda like knowing a foreign language

My languages are very limited to the north, I can only speak Swedish, Germany and English and best of them English…so not much to be proud of…..well of course I can speak Finnish.

And Finnish....//not much to be proud of//

Most Americans have difficulty with 'English' especially the ones that have been speaking it all their lives. I studied semantics in college and I am daily appalled at the rather horrific way most Americans speak English.

You, my friend, should be very proud in your ability to communicate.

*Itkupilli* said...

Okjimm, I’m sometimes so pedant with semiotic, that’s the reason I really want to learn more to communicate...and I’ve correct some Americans about their use of some words, and that’s ridiculous from me, ’coz I make so much mistakes my self with the grammar and spelling. And my vocabulary is very limited.

singinghawk said...

yes, kirsi, I am also impressed with your "limited" knowledge of language! geez..is correct! I wish I knew one other than English. I had French for for years in high school and learned nothing more than how to say my name and hello and a few other meaningless phrases. American education sucks. Besides that, we never learned that history begun before the Pilgrims came over on the Mayflower and made friend with the Native Indians!

singinghawk said...

and that last comment of mine is proof that english speaking people can't even speak english! hahaha

I love the poem. It's amazing. I sense a sexual undercurrent too not sure if I should :)

You always have some really awesome images in your posts.

Kirsi says //My languages are very limited to the north, I can only speak Swedish, Germany and English//

I love how you say "only"!?
That's four languages, including Finnish!

And here I was proud that I could speak French and a bit of Spanish.

*Itkupilli* said...

Thanks SJ
The poem is amazing, and why you shouldn’t sense a sexual undercurrent…I mean I do.
I kind of “illustrate” my images with the texts. First comes image and then I post something which goes with it. And I think this poem fit here well…

AnaB and AnaJ
Who cares about languages? Let’s continue with that serious discussion about Scandinavia at Anajos!

singinghawk said...

Yes, I am ready for more discussion on Scandinavia at Anajos, but I think okjimm left us for a little while. I hope we don't scare him off! I have done that before by talking sexual innuendos a little too much. One guy never came back for more...and to think it just a few words that scares them away!

*Itkupilli* said...

AnaB I know what you mean...I think I've also gone once too far, and I didn't even said anything yet...let's count on Okjimm. He's been missing an hour or even more? I'll wait before I start swimming.

for its easy translation
thinking that therefore they understand to me better
I feel shame by my English)
